While we never experienced a problem returning at night (probably because the rates are much higher at night), we did have problems getting taxis to pick us up. Plus there is a small pool. Air conditioning - Personal safe - Bathroom - Wifi - Small refrigerator - The lodge is built around a "Fare lounge" that is over 200m2 of open space with the living area extending itself to a covered furnished terrace over looking the lagoon ( breakfast on the terrace) - Three restaurants at 100 meters and a diving center on the beach. Swimming and snorkeling are not good from the beach in front of the lodge but you can walk along the beach to a lagoon or drive to a very close beach. I do not speak french but did not need to. Guests can enjoy breakfast during their stay. The peacefulness of the lodge and it's beauty will be appreciated by all. The grounds featured a central building with a beautiful relaxation area, not to mention a professional restaurant grade style kitchen available for residents at all times. Their food is not to be missed. The place is spotlessly clean. The staff speaks multiple languages, including English, Spanish, and French. The bungalow was beautiful, spacious and decorated tastefully in a Zen-Bali beach style. If you are like most honeymooners in French Polynesia, you will get plenty of resort-style vacationing on the other islands, so the warm and welcoming bed and breakfast was a welcomed change. inside if we wanted to read after a morning’s activity. Pros: Refrigerator; Comfortable bed; Friendly, helpful management; Large kitchen access; Gated parking; Cute bungalows with porches. The fresh fruit, selection of breads and pastries coupled with jams, were delicious!) The property consists of a main house with the patio for dining overlooking a pool surrounded by the bungalows. Great super friendly and accommodating staff. So if you can drive a manual car....rent a car to stay there or scooter.....those old bikes may not be reliable to do a lot of riding...to the beach is okay but much further is questionable. While we did enjoy the sun one morning on the coral beach in the lawn chairs, if you are looking to spend time in the water or on a sandy beach, you are best to go to the local beach on the other end of the airport property or stay at the pool. It reeks relaxation. Perfect place if you want to safe money by cooking your self. Very enjoyable and water was just fantastic. Our request for Gluten Free bread for breakfast ( notified in advance) was met with a Gallic shrug. 7 garden bungalow, 4 beach bungalow, 1 honeymoon bungalow and 1 family garden bungalow. Our favorite beach resort in French Polynesia, After visiting 5 of the Society Islands, we decided that Moorea is our favorite island and the Moorea Beach Lodge was our favorite hotel. If I make another visit I would love to stay in the bungalows....I did look inside after they were vacated...and very nicely decorated and spacious. She is a talented chef. We loved our 3 day stay here and found the dinner prepared by Isabella to be our best meal on the island of moorea. Proximity to the airport is no problem as there are few flights. 10, excellent value. There was a porch from the room which was as big as the room....very nice breezy and good for laying out the luggage, which we used for that and relaxing in the chaise lounge. Walking in the water was just find for me with water shoes on but I could not do much more because of the current being so rough. Surrounding the central building were the bungalows - and by bungalow I mean sparkling clean, air conditioned, 4 star hotel quality rooms. We stayed in a garden bungalow which was small but adequate. There is, of course, the option to eat on site for dinners too, which we did once and enjoyed. Close to Restaurants and grocery store. With private beach. We were so pleasantly surprised and wished we had booked all of our time here! Perfect!This place has all the charm of a tropical escape and the owners are very helpful in guiding and suggesting places to eat or swim. We did not mind the wind, but it would have been nice to know to expect it.Finally, be aware that there are no restaurants in walking distance with two exceptions, a "snack" next door which was surprisingly good, but simple, and a restaurant at the nearby golf course.
