Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda will always hold a special place in my heart, but I have to admit that I loved this book even more. Meanwhile, Molly's totally not dying of loneliness—except for the part where she is.

As you make your way through the story, you watch as Molly faces a number of challenges that allow her to accept who she really is, despite her fears of rejection and isolation. This book not only gives you all the feels when your feelings went unrequited (yeah, we've all been there ), but it adds up a whole new level of plot to it by focusing on not just Molly's love life, but also the family aspect, which I feel is widely ignored in the YA genre lately.
The novel reads like you are inside Molly’s head, which does a great deal for the reader. Not only was it incredibly touching, but it made the story feel complete. Her anxiety and fear are only made worse when her grandmother comes to visit and makes comments about her weight (a compulsion we later learn is from her own insecurities as a young woman). Absolutely, I think everyone should read this book. We see Molly comparing herself to others constantly (something that is all too relatable in today’s society). It's as full of heart as Simon (Simon himself makes a cameo appearance) and is replete with humor and honestly drawn characters like Grandma Betty, who comments inappropriately about Molly's weight and thinks all lesbians have short hair.
